About me
I am an environmental scientist focused on understanding how ecosystems respond to climate change, blending biogeochemistry, ecological modeling, and advanced computational techniques. I study ecosystems ranging from tropical agriculture to high-latitude permafrost tundra.
Research
One of my key recent projects is the Warming Permafrost Model Intercomparison Project (WrPMIP), where I collaborate with over 30 researchers worldwide to improve how models represent permafrost dynamics. This ongoing effort aims to enhance our understanding of carbon feedbacks from thawing permafrost, which has crucial implications for future climate predictions. Please see my Google Scholar link above to follow publications from this and other work.
Teaching
I am excited to potentially assist Dr. Whitman in teaching Soil Microbiology (523) course this spring and Environmental Biogeochemistry (451) this fall. I have previously taught material ranging from transport phenomena to the Matrix Modeling approach with Dr. Yiqi Luo.
