Canadian Youth Delegation to the UNFCCC

Fighting climate change is central to my research and interests.  I participated in the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change annual conferences (COP14 – Poznan, Poland, COP15 – Copenhagen, Denmark, and COP16 – Cancún, Mexico) in 2008, 2009, and 2010 as a member of the Canadian Youth Delegation.

Podcasts from the UN Climate Change Negotiations

While in Copenhagen and Cancún, I produced daily podcasts, which were broadcast on radio stations across Canada and are still available through Citizenshift and Rabble.

Powershift

Powershift is an exciting element of the youth climate movement. It aims to build an environmental and climate justice movement that can transform our society. I helped with programming and running workshops for Powershift Canada 2009 and Powershift Canada 2012. In 2009, I ran a Forests and Land Use 101 workshop with Dean Medeiros, and in 2012 I developed a Climate Science 101 session and a workshop on Confronting Climate Skepticism.
