Isabella joined the lab in September of 2022 and is pursuing a MS in Soil Science. Isabella is researching the impact of fire history on soil microbial communities in temperate forests. Isabella received her BS from the University of California, Berkeley in Molecular Environmental Biology with a minor in Forestry. She has worked for various federal land management agencies doing fire ecology, prescribed fire implementation, and fire suppression. In her free time, Isabella enjoys running, hiking, botanizing, and cooking.
